Mini First Aid Kids is designed for children aged 7-11. Children are starting to be more independent and can understand basic first aid. In the 1-hour session, Children learn to deal with bumps, burns, breaks and bleeding, carry out CPR and deal with choking. The class is practical, lots of fun and involves lots of activities for the children to enjoy. A favourite with schools and voluntary groups, the class can also be organised for private groups.
My husband & I did the course with our NCT crew. It was enjoyable, easy to understand with great practical advice, babies can attend too! Highly recommended.
I cannot recommend Mini First Aid enough. Kate ran a private class for me and my 11 year old daughter in the comfort of our own home, which was perfect especially as my babies are due any day now. My daughter and I feel much more confident in knowing what to do in a range of emergency situations and I also got some extra twin tips from Kate as a fellow twin Mum! It's such an important life skill that every parent and carer should have so I would urge you to book a Mini First Aid course today.
I Attended the mini first aid session today, it was great. Informative and pitched at just the right level for a busy, worrying mum. It was practical and all questions were answered. I feel confident that in a scary situation I would be able to help my little girl and keep her safe. Thank you for a great afternoon X
I was struggling to find a baby/paediatric first aid course that would fit in with being a busy new mum with a five month old baby! Came across mini first aid and I’m so glad I did! Gemma was so knowledgable and covered all the topics we mums worry about. Being a mum herself, she had first hand experience and was able to answer all questions thrown at her. Gemma explained things really well and I have come away feeling far more confident about dealing with choking, CPR, burns, shock, and much more! It was such a relaxed environment and I loved the fact it was delivered in a small group, and I was made to feel so comfortable to have my baby there with me and was able to attend to her needs throughout, without having to worry about feeding/changing/crying etc. A fantastic course, very reasonably priced and well worth every penny! Thank you to the lady who set this up, and to Gemma. I will recommend this course to all my friends with babies and children.
"We are so glad we have done a Mini First Aid class. We enjoyed the class, found it really useful and feel so much more prepared in the build up to having our baby.”
Me and my dad did this course yesterday and I took my 10 month old baby along. I left feeling a lot more confident that if be able to deal with any first aid issues. I also appreciated the relaxed atmosphere as my baby is rarely quiet!
The Mini First Aid Class (filmed for ITVBe) was a fantastic class, both Arg and I found it a really good and informative session
It was a pleasure meeting Kate and Jacky from Mini First Aid and being taught what to do in case of an emergency. Learning CPR and what to do when a child is choking is invaluable. Obviously, I hope I never had to use the things I learned in today’s class, but horrible things happen and knowing these techniques can really make a huge difference. The class was fun and accessible given the seriousness of the topic. I would highly recommend everyone doing it.
There are a gazillion things I never seem to get around to doing (fixing the broken blind in our bedroom, getting some photos printed of ‘the baby’ who is almost two but still doesn’t exist on our walls, pinning down the coffee date I’ve been promising my neglected friend via WhatsApp for at least 6 months…) BUT this morning I finally got my arse in gear and ticked off something from my ‘Really Must Do’ list by attending a First Aid class designed specifically for parents, grandparents and carers of babies and young children. It took just two hours out of my morning and covered a whole host of stuff including what to do if a child is choking, how to deal with burns/breaks/bleeding and the basics of life-saving CPR for kids.
We attended the Mini First Aid class when I was pregnant last year. Fast forward to now and my baby girl is 8months old and my training has just saved her life! My daughter began silently choking on a piece of toast and had started to turn purple, because of my training I remained as calm as can be in that situation and was able to get her in the correct position and give her some black blows and retrieve the nasty culprit. £20 I paid for that course, it was the best £20 I ever spent because my daughter's life is pricelss. I know for a fact before attending the course I would have just panicked and screamed, not knowing the best course of action. Thank you so much Mini First Aid, you saved my daughter's life and for that I'm eternally grateful.
